Core Values
Values are our backbone; they are unwavering,
unchanging rocks upon which this squad is built.
Honour:
- We will conduct ourselves in the highest ethical
manner in all relationships & interactions with peers, superiors &
subordinates.
- Be honest and truthful in our dealings with each
other, and with those of the gaming community.
- Abide by an uncompromising code of integrity,
taking responsibility for our actions and keeping our word.
- Be willing to make honest recommendations and
accept those of junior personnel and encourage new ideas.
- We are accountable for our behaviour and we will
be mindful of the privilege to be a member of *R§F*.
Courage:
- Meet challenges while adhering to a higher
standard of personal conduct, dignity, respect & honour.
- Be loyal to our squad, ensuring the resources
entrusted to us are used in an honest, ethical and efficient way.
- Courage is the value that gives us the moral and
mental strength to do what is right, even in the face of adversity.
Commitment:
- Demand respect up and down the chain of command
regardless of individual rank
- Show respect toward all people without regard to
race, religion, or gender.
- Treat each individual with human dignity.
- Be committed to positive attitudes, positive
change and constant improvement.
Code of Conduct
- Have fun – This is a game we are playing and the
focus is to have fun through organization and teamwork. Always remember
that there are real people at the other end of the text and voice
communications. Never do anything that could cause another player to
reduce or lose his or her enjoyment of the game. Killing them on the
battlefield is an exception.
- Teamwork – Teamwork is essential in order for us
to be successful. Always work as a team. Encourage cooperation and mutual
support.
- Respect – In order to gain respect, you must give
respect. Always treat other players better than you would expect to be
treated yourself. While friendly ribbing and the occasional “smack talk”
are acceptable, frequent insults or slurs are not. This applies to all
areas of the game community not just within the squad.
- Duty – Teamwork requires the knowledge that
everyone can be counted on to do his or her part. Play with the team and
carry out the orders of those in command to the absolute best of your
ability.
- Pride – Take pride in your squad and do nothing
to tarnish its reputation. Do nothing to dishonour yourself or the squad
as it tarnishes us all. Show this pride in all of your dealings with squad
members and members of the gaming community.
- Honour- We cannot have pride without also
possessing honour. This squad does not condone cheating, glitching or any
attempts to gain an unfair advantage. Violators will be dismissed after a
proper investigation is performed.
- No squad member will flame, insult, or otherwise
engage in vulgarity against an opponent during game play.
- Members will exhibit good sportsmanship toward
all opponents during game play.
- No member will complain, or insult, a host during
game play due to server lag or server malfunctions. Any lag, or such, can
be reported to the host (after game play is finished) for the purpose of
helping the host in evaluating the performance of the server.
- Any internal squad disputes will be reported to
RsF Command for mediation and resolution.
- Under no circumstances will an RsF member
participate in game play under any other squad tag. Such conduct will be
grounds for dismissal from *R§F*.
- As an *R§F* Member you are responsible for checking
your email and the forums and responding to any RsF related emails in a
timely fashion. You are required to respond to emails sent from RsF
Command personnel.
- As an *R§F* Member you are responsible for a
frequent presence online. You are required to attend 2 weekly practices on
Tuesday & Thursday nights starting at 9EST/8CST. You can figure on 2
hours practice time. If for any reason, you are not able to attend
practice, you are required to post notice in the forum. Failure to do so
will result in an unexcused absence.
- Any extended absence of more than 10 days,
without notification from you to *R§F* Command, will result in an AWOL
status and you will be dismissed.
- You are required to conduct yourself
professionally at all times in the game and on Vent. Please refer to the
“Fun” area at the beginning of this Code of Conduct. We will not tolerate
excessive vulgarity, negative attitudes, poor sportsmanship or disrespect
for other players and/or squads, taunting other players or being cocky.
Also coming on vent either drunk or stoned may seem fun for you, but it is
not for your squad mates. This behaviour goes against everything this
squad stands for.
- Promotions will be evaluated on a case-by-case
basis. We will look at numerous things including seniority (time with
squad), leadership skills, attitude, and adherence to our values and Code
of Conduct. Promotions are not given out half-heartedly or automatically;
you will have to earn your promotion.
*R§F*
has a ZERO tolerance policy for violations of our Values and the Code of Conduct
and you will be disciplined fairly based on severity of violation. This
includes reprimands, suspension and possibly dishonourably discharged from
*R§F*.
